Lion’s Trendy Hair
Lion Stories For Children
Lion went back to another salon for a new trendy hair.
Since that day, Lala, the lion went to little rabbit’s salon for his spiky hairstyle; he had not stepped into another salon for a long time. Recently, the city has had a new trend of perming hair! Every street he went, there were posters of beautiful permed hairstyles. Lala was tempted. He was getting tired of his hair.
He strutted through town and thought, “If I perm my hair, the animals will compliment me for my beautiful hair.” After a while, he succumbed to the temptation when he saw a poster with absolutely gorgeous lustrous curly locks.
“I want my hair to look like this poster,” Lala demanded, pointing to the poster. “No problem.” Mr Horse said. After a few hours, the hair is finally done.
Lala looked in the mirror and roared with delight at how lovely his curly hair looked. He was satisfied. He sashayed down the streets, proud of how magnificent he appeared. With his new hairstyle, Lala was almost unrecognizable.
When Lala returned home, his family members were taken aback. His siblings thought his long curls were amusing. They began making fun of him and fiddling with or touching his curls.
He was so protective of his curls’ shape that he wouldn’t let anyone near his head. For days, he didn’t even comb or wash his hair!
A few days later, Lala was awakened by a bad itch on his head. He scratched it lightly at first because he didn’t want to ruin his hair. However, it became too itchy for him to bear. Lala began scratching his head furiously.
“Someone helped me to scratch at the back of my head. It’s too itchy!” Lala yelled. “I thought you said no one was to touch your head?” his brother said, peering into his room.
“Not anymore. Please, help me to scratch.” Lala pleaded.
His brother approached him and examined his head. “Your head is crawling with bugs!” They’re crawling all over you. Also, your hair stinks. “It’s time to wash your hair!”
Lala had no choice but to rush to the river to wash his hair, hoping to wash the bugs away and relieve his itching.
After washing his hair, Lala felt slightly better because he could clean a lot of bugs away. However, the bugs had not been completely eliminated. Lala needed to see a doctor.
When he arrived at the clinic, the doctor told him, “Your hair is full of bugs; the only way to get rid of them is to cut your hair. You should shave your hair so bugs cannot hide inside and itch you.”
Lala was devastated to learn that he would have to shave his hair. However, he couldn’t stand the thought of having bugs in his head. “Please shave my hair,” Lala said while entering Mr Horse’s shop. Mr Horse was surprised, but he went ahead with it anyway.
After Mr Horse was done, Lala stared into the mirror for a long time. He almost could not recognize himself with that bald hair. As he stepped out of the salon, everyone who saw him could not help but laugh. His siblings teased him and said, “Bald head suits you best after all.”
The end.
